Danby Autos Sunderland Snooker League leaders South Hylton A postponed their match against Pennywell Comrades A but did play the rearranged match against Seaham Conservati­ves B.

Gary Bell got Hylton off to a good start, beating Bobby Carne 64-44, before a 36 clearance saw Adam Smith pinch a high-scoring second frame off Robin Midson 76-62.

A 31 break helped Norman Leslie win the third frame against Colin Dobson 76-24 before Tony Grimes pulled one back for Seaham, beating Graham Rutland on the final black 70-63.

In the pairs, Robin Midson and Colin Dobson beat Adam Smith and Norman Leslie 6532 to reduce the defeat to 3-2.

Derek White got Boldon CA off to a good start at home to Murton Officials winning the first frame 81-46 against Stephen Clementson with breaks of 30 and 20, before Graeme Ablett won the second frame against Robert Lamb 66-52.

John Smith potted well to beat Steven Cook 71-39 before Eddie Williamson pulled one back for Murton, beating Chris Grimmer 68-38.

In the pairs, Steven Cook and Stephen Clementson beat John Smith and Graeme Ablett 62-48 to reduce the defeat to 3-2.

In their rearranged match, Boldon CA welcomed Lumley and started well with Graeme Ablett winning the first frame against Sean Henderson 7140 before Derek White won a close second frame against Andrew Drinkwater 64-51.

Brian Meuse won the third frame for Lumley beating Chris Grimmer 55-44 before a 48 break by John Smith won him the fourth frame against Roful Hoque 82-37.

A 22 break by John Smith and a 28 break by Chris Grimmer won Boldon the pairs, beating Brian Meuse and Sean Henderson 64-23 for the 4-1 win.

South Hylton B defeated Steels 4-1, with the highlight Tony Hazard’s high-scoring win against Tommy Ayre 7361.

Lumley edged a 3-2 win against Seaham Cons B with Neil Lowdon and Roful Hoque winning the pairs against Robin Midson and Colin Dobson 56-44 to seal the win.

Mill View were 3-2 winners against The Victory, with John Spruce enjoying a good 75-27 win against Les Burnikell.

Pennywell Comrades A were 3-2 winners against Murton Officials in a game where Steve O’Wellen had a good 4938 win against Stephen Clementson.

Biddick B claimed a 3-2 win against Biddick A after getting off to a good start with Paul Cobb winning the first frame against Steven Tate 73-53.

The Victory were 3-2 winners against The Hetton Centre. The game saw Thomas Gwyn in good form with an 81-37 win against Steven Rushworth.

In a rearranged match Glendale beat Pennywell Comrades B 4-1. John Campbell had an excellent win over Thomas Gwyn 55-42.

Seaham Cons A raced to a 5-0 win against Pennywell Comrades B. Ian Hughes won the first frame against Andrew Doran 64-40 and Gary Stockton took the second

frame against John Campbell 67-30.
