Rose shows his power with pair of victories
Neil Rose was in fine form in the Golden Fleece League, winning both his games and conceding only one leg.
He saw off Denny Cullen 5-0 and then Jordan Thoms 5-1, winning two of the legs in 14 darts each, having checkouts of 120 and 110, as well as hitting two 180s.
Gary Richardson drew 4-4 with Mark Reeves, with his best legs coming in 17, 18 and 19 darts. Reeves’ best was in 18.
Jordan Thoms beat Norman Place 5-3 with both players’ best leg coming in 21 darts.
Denny Cullen bounced back from defeat to beat Charlie Thompson 5-3, with both players having winning legs in 16, 18 and 21 darts. Thompson also hit a 180.
Steve Carr defeated Dan Smith 5-2, while Paul Moon got the better of Tom Davies 5-3.
Marco Laybourn hit a 117 checkout in his 5-02 win against Jordan Cook.
Richie Thoms drew 4-4 with Pete Wilson, who won the best leg, in 17 darts.
Paul Williams also had two wins. He beat Steve Richardson 5-0 with winning legs in 16 (twice), 17, 19 and 21 darts.
Williams then defeated Gary Richardson 5-2, including a fantastic 11-dart leg and a checkout of 115.
Glen Woodbridge beat Ross Guy 5-0, with legs in 19, 20 and 21 darts, plus a 105 checkout.
Steve Peel beat Ross Guy 5-3.
