Nice day for wedding win
WINNER’S NAME TO BE DRAWN FROM HAT THIS WEEKEND
This weekend one lucky couple will find out whether they’ve won a wedding reception worth £999.
We teamed up with The Peacock in Sunderland city centre to offer a couple the chance to win a reception package including a glass of wine for each guest upon arrival, a three-course wedding breakfast meal for 50 guests and an evening buffet.
The reception will take place in the upstairs function room of the pub off Keel Square, which has its own entrance, toilet facilities, bar and stage.
The function room, which has undergone an extensive renovation, has proved a popular addition at the pub and has hosted everything from book signings to singer Dave Stewart’s 65th birthday celebrations on a return visit to his hometown last year.
General manager Paul Scott said “It’s a versatile space, but what it’s particularly good for is weddings because it’s right in the city centre. We also have our own parking facilities for guests to the rear of the Fire Station.”
To be in with a chance of winning, couples had to fill in the coupons printed and send them into the Echo office.
All entrants will go into a hat, from which the winner will be drawn, at The Peacock’s wedding fair this Sunday.
The winning entry will be drawn live on the Echo’s Facebook page and all entrants must be at the draw to be eligible to claim the prize.
Running from noon until 4pm, the fair is free to attend and open to everyone. It will showcase a number of local exhibitors, as well as showing how the function room can be used for receptions.
