CALLEN HITS SECOND-HALF HAT-TRICK AS RCA HIT SEVEN GOALS

Sunderland RCA powered to a 7-0 thrashing of Bishop Auckland in the Ebac Northern League Division One.

In the seventh minute, Dylan Elliott opened the scoring after reacting quickest when Michael Charlton’s shot was saved.

On 24 minutes it was 2-0 as Greg Swansbury headed powerfully into the net, following a corner.

The third came just before half-time, when Luke Page scored from a tight angle.

After the break, a Stephen Callen header made it 4-0 and just after, he headed home from a corner to make it five.

Callen then stroked one home to complete his hattrick, and Page made it 7-0 after racing clear.

Ryhope CW won 3-1 at home to West Auckland.

They went a goal down after 17 minutes through Anthony Bell, following good work from Nathan Fisher.

James Ellis scored the equaliser with 11 minutes left, when he smashed one in from the edge of the box.

With three minutes left, Michael Rae fired home and Ellis soon powered through to make it 3-1.

Elswehere, Shildon journeyed to Whitley Bay and won 6-0.

Jarrow Roofing BCA came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 and earn a point in their fight against relegation.

Marske United entertaine­d Dunston UTS and comfortabl­y won 3-0. Craig Gott put them ahead in the 13th minute and Michael Roberts made it 2-0 right on half time. Danny Earl scored the third in the second half.

In Division Two, Brandon United lost 3-1 at home to Heaton Stanningto­n.

Hebburn Town hammered Crook Town 7-0. Rhys Williams fired them ahead in the 36th minute, and a minute later Paul Chow made it 2-0 when he smashed the ball home from the edge of the box.

Chow scored his second of the game when he pounced from close range, three minutes into the second half.

Chow completed his hattrick on the hour, when he rounded the keeper for 4-0 and helped himself to another just minutes later, for 5-0.

Peter Jones made it 6-0 and Channon North scored the seventh.

In the TWR Bi Folds Wearside League, fourthtop Sunderland West End played host to Gateshead Leam Rangers and shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

West End opened the scoring on the stroke of halftime, Brad Forster heading the ball past goalkeeper Lee Smith.

After 54 minutes, Ewan Vasey equalised for Leam Rangers with a volley from outside the box, giving goalkeeper Graeme Pickering no chance.

With no further goals, the teams had to make do with a point each.

Silksworth CW travelled to Richmond Town and came away with an excellent 2-1 victory, despite going behind early in the game.

Ben Darville opened the scoring for Richmond after seven minutes, putting the ballpastgo­alkeeperJo­eClayton.

On the stroke of half-time, Paul Muir equalised, giving goalkeeper Mark Walker no chance.

With nine minutes remaining, Brandon Alderson secured the points for Silksworth, firing past keeper Clayton.

Hebburn Town Reserves went down 3-2 at Redcar.
