Collingwood returns to help Durham’s hat-trick hopes

-

Durham head coach Jon Lewis had named a 14-man squad as Durham chase a third consecutive Royal London One-Day Cup victory when they take on Warwickshire under the lights at Emirates Riverside today (2pm start).

And they have been boosted by the return to the squad of veteran Paul Collingwood after injury.

After back-to-back wins over North Group leaders Worcestershire and Northamptonshire, Lewis’ side are quickly gaining confidence in the 50-over format.

The wins put Durham above Lancashire and Leicestershire – who are currently playing at Oakham School – and victory tomorrow takes them level with Warwickshire on six points.

Durham are boosted by the return of former one-day skipper Collingwood after he missed the previous three games with a calf injury, with Ryan Davies dropping out of the squad.

Last time out, Tom Latham made 86 in 93 balls to steer Durham to 256-7 on a slow wicket before Will Smith and Matt Dixon induced a Northants collapse of four for 20 in five overs.

Squad vs Warwickshire: Graham Clark, Cameron Steel, Michael Richardson, Tom Latham (c), Paul Collingwood, Will Smith, Stu Poynter (wk), Gareth Harte, Ryan Pringle, Nathan Rimmington, Matt Dixon, Chris Rushworth, George Harding, Josh Coughlin.

On-the-day prices are available at £15 adults and £5 juniors and are available from the Box Office at Gate 2.

Gates open at 1pm ahead of a 2pm start.
