Exciting news for US drama fans

This August, Sky Living is becoming Sky Witness – the new home for switched-on drama.

Sky Witness will invite viewers to absorb themselves in the most riveting US dramas on television today, including the UK premieres of four exciting new series that are sure to be essential viewing.

Here’s a quick look at what’s coming:

Patrick Dempsey returns to television in a 10-part adaptation of Joël Dicker’s bestselling novel. Dempsey stars as former literary icon Harry Quebert, whose life is upended when he stands accused of murdering a 15-year-old girl who disappeared years earlier.

Alan Cumming stars as Dr Dylan Reinhart, a former CIA operative turned university professor and author, happily enjoying a quiet life. This all changes when NYPD detective Lizzie Needham informs him a serial killer appears to be using his first crime novel as a tutorial for a murder spree.

A fast-paced procedural drama following the lives of first responders. Angela Bassett stars as LAPD officer Athena Grant, who alongside firefighter Bobby Nash, and 911 operator Abby Clark, is thrust into heart-stopping situations.

Set in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, this new courtroom drama follows six talented young lawyers working on opposite sides of the law and handling the most high-profile and high-stakes federal cases in the country.
