The team of Blanche, Margaret, Marjorie and Judith were presented with their winning prize by Federation Chair Margaret Carter, (left of picture). The evening was a tremendous success and one to be repeated. The Hopefuls are wished more of the same success. Lakeside Community Centre has a number of established clubs in the centre such as carpet bowls, art club etc. There is a hall for hire for children’s birthday parties and anniversary celebrations with a capacity of 75. A chair exercise and relaxation class will be held on Thursdays from Thursday, August 2, between 10am and noon in the Methodist Church, Crow Lane. Sessions will cost £3 and include tea and coffee. Do you enjoy gardening and have few hours to spare? The project is currently looking for volunteers to help maintain of the community garden. Volunteers meet every Monday from 9.30am to noon.
