No stopping Williams in his quest for title

Paul Williams continues to lead the way at the top of the Golden Fleece Darts Premier Division after his latest convincing 5-2 victory.

Williams claimed his 17th victory of the season when he defeated Graeme Hills, with winning legs of 14, 16, 18 and 19, including two 180s. Hill responded by winning his two legs in 18 and 19 darts.

Gary Richardson eased to a 5-1 success over Jordan Cook, with winning legs of 14, 18 and 21, including a stunning 180.

Mark Forth, who replaces Richie Thoms in the league, claimed a meritable draw in his first game against Dan Smith.

Neil Rose defeated Charlie Thompson 5-1, while Davy Thompson beat Paul Moon 5-0.

Charlie Thompson bounced back from his earlier defeat to beat Pete Wilson 5-1. Thompson’s best legs were 17 and 20 (twice) darters.

Marco Laybourn eased to a 5-1 triumph over Norman Place in legs of 14, 17 and 20 darts.

Adam Lafferty, who replaces Jordan Thoms in the league, won his first game when he defeated Steve Carr 5-3, with legs of 18 and 20 darts, plus a checkout of 105.

Steve Richardson convincing­ly beat Tom Davies 5-0, with winning legs of 19, 20 and 21 darts.

Last game of the night saw Mark Reeves beat Anth Skelton 5-2.

Reeves’ best darts came in 18, 19 and 20 darts, including a great outshot of 122.
