Celtic bid KO’d
Celtic have failed with an improved offer for Hibs midfielder John McGinn.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has earmarked the 23-year-old as one of his key summer targets after losing Stuart Armstrong to Southampton for £7million.
HIbs manager Neil Lennon said: “We have rejected two bids from Celtic. Our club has a valuation of the player.” Hibs host NSI Runavik of the Faroe Islands in the Europa League tonight.
League One side Oxford United secured a 2-0 win against Irish club UCD yesterday, with Jon Obika and Luke Garbutt on target.
Andreas Weimann and Marley Watkins netted for Bristol City in a 2-2 draw against Newport County.
