GIANT TO UNLOCK TREASURE

-

Giant’s Treasure can spearhead a double for David O’Meara at Redcar tomorrow.

The four-year-old will be having just his fourth career start when lining up in the Sky Bet Go-RacingIn-Yorkshire Summer Festival Handicap and looks open to any amount of progression.

Giant’s Treasure was previously trained by Richard Hannon and won for him on the Kempton allweather last March.

But he did not reappear until this April, having changed hands for 60,000 guineas back in February.

Two third places for O’Meara suggests his ability remains intact and he should continue to progress now that he is back in the racing groove.

Switching back to six furlongs is an interesting move, but O’Meara most certainly knows what he is doing.

Jacbequick should earlier have initiated a brace for the North Yorkshire handler at the seaside course in the Help For Heroes & Royal British Legion Classified Claiming Stakes.

He has lost his way a bit of late, but this sort of level presents a good opportunity.

Master Burbidge made a costly late blunder last time, but a sharper round of fencing should see him thereabouts in the Finnick Group Handicap Chase at Stratford.

He was poised to make his move at Worcester before clattering the penultimate obstacle, putting paid to any chance of getting involved in the shake-up.

The handicapper has eased him 1lb for that mishap and it would not take too much to regain the sort of form that saw him score twice last term.

Ordo Ab Chao is interesting back over the smaller obstacles in the Touch FM Selling Hurdle.

Cracker Factory looks an excellent recruit to the National Hunt ranks and can make it two from two over obstacles by winning the NewtonAbbotRace On Twitter Juvenile Hurdle.

It is day two of the Irish Oaks meeting at The Curragh and Mabs Cross can claim a starring role in the Sapphire Stakes.

She finished a twolength third behind Blue Point in the King’s Stand at Ascot and a repeat of that effort should ensure that she troubles the judge.

September is an eyecatching contender as she returns from a long lay-off in the Kilboy Estate Stakes.
