INNOVATIVE MINDS UNITE

A team of industry experts has been formed to power up regional businesses and ignite their growth ambitions.

Enterprise agency NBSL has organised a series of classes which pull together some of the most innovative minds in the region, and now it aims to roll-out the project regionwide across the summer.

Everything from digital marketing to social media, business growth planning and increasing sales is being catered for in a series of specialist sessions for small to medium-sized businesses.

“Selling products or services is no longer a case of picking up the telephone or scheduling a meeting. Busineses have to be active online and across a number of different social media platforms using more innovative communication techniques to truly reach their maximum potential,” said John King, North East Business Support Manager at NBSL.

“It’s good business sense to make sure you are promoting your business, products and services to as many potential clients as possible.

“We have worked with a multitude of businesses that have seen huge benefit by taking part in our Masterclasses.

“They provide insight expertise to improve areas of the business which can lead to increased awareness, interaction and, ultimately, sales.”

The Masterclasses, which are fully funded for North East SMEs, will focus on a number of distinct areas: business growth planning, social media for business to consumer/ business to business, sales strategy techniques, creating videos for social media marketing, bid writing and tendering and creating effective content.

Mr King added: “It is great news for businesses looking for that little bit of help that enables them to deliver growth plans.

“The North East Business Support Fund has helped hundreds of businesses to tap into funding, but also access this high quality support and expertise.”

The North East Business Support Fund (NEBSF) is part financed by the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.

Classes will be delivered across the region, starting in County Durham. Take up is expected to be high, so interested businesses are urged to sign up quickly.

Dates for the first round of Masterclasses in County Durham have just been announced with full details available at https://nbsl.org. uk/masterclasses
