Sunderland couple’s website Disney let you down on prices
A Sunderland couple’s new business is no Mickey Mouse operation.
Phil and Julie Randle launched price comparison website www.ticketrangers. com after finding huge differences in pricing and terms for theme parks and other attractions in the “Sunshine State”.
It was when the couple were planning a return trip in 2015 that IT manager Phil researched ticket prices to get the best deals.
“There were so many different deals available and a huge range of prices, so I decided to create a spreadsheet of the different attractions and deals available,” he said.
“I then shared the spreadsheet as a Google Doc on an online forum and it very quickly prompted hundreds of responses.
“I kept it up-to-date before we went to Orlando, but didn’t look at it while we were on holiday. When we got back, thousands of people had accessed the document and I’d been inundated with questions and people wanting it updated.
“I spoke to Julie about it, and we thought there was enough interest and potential to do it properly through a website,” Phil.
Julie, a trained Nursery Nurse from Town End Farm who now runs the site full time, added: “We really want to help people save money for their holidays and find the deal that is best for them.
“Ticketrangers.com takes the hassle out of searching for the best deals – we do the work for you.
“Prices and deals change so regularly that it can be quite a task to have all of the latest information. Ticket Rangers will find everything people need and collate it all on our site for their individual needs.”
The site compares prices from the biggest and best sellers of Orlando attraction tickets in the UK and U.S., and includes deals for Disney, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, Legoland, Kennedy Space Center, and Discovery Cove,a s well as . It also includes tips about flights, accommodation and car hire.
