EASINGTON VICTORY QUAY TO DIVISION ONE TRIUMPH

Easington won the league title after they beat Bill Quay by 92 runs.

Batting first, they totalled 190-9, with Mark Cowell scoring 41 and Robbie Atherton 45, while Berwick Hall claimed 3-38.

The visitors were then all out for just 98, as Omar Shahid returned figures of 3-25, while Paul Bentham top scored with 36, before he was run out.

Crook ended up runnersup, as they won by seven wickets at Seaham Park.

The home side took first knock and made just 115, with Steven Chapman taking 3-25 and Daniel Doram returned 3-22, as Neil Young top scored with 41 runs to his name.

The visitors then scored the required runs, totalling 117-3, thanks to a top score of 25 from Chapman, with the bat.

At the bottom, Horden were relegated alongside Mainsforth, after losing at home to Esh Winning by 31 runs.

The visitors made 150-6 from their allocated overs, with Stuart Hall making 32 and Jonathan Hodgson 30.

In reply, the home side managed just 119 all out, with Connor Surtees and Billy Storey each claiming three wickets apiece, while Dan Stephenson top scored with 32.

Whiteleas survived with an easy nine wicket win, at home to Mainsforth.

The visitors managed to score just 107 all out, thanks to 40 not out from Aidan Cummings and 32 from Tom Orton, as Hafiz Aleem took a brilliant 6-17. In reply, Leas were 108-1, with Alan Beadle scoring 44 and Adam Shaw made 52 not out, for a vital win.

Philadelph­ia entertaine­d Marsden and won by 85 runs, after totalling 186-5 declared.

Shaun Smith made 59 and Paul Hollingshe­ad scored 49 not out.

Marsden were then all out for just 101, thanks to Will Orchid claiming 5-33, and Chris Mann top scored for the visitors with 30.

Tudhoe’s match at home to Durham City, was abandoned with no play.

Ushaw Moor became Division Two champions, even though their home game at Hylton, was hit by the weather. The home side had made just 130-9, with Aaron Proud claiming 3-20, as Matty Billyard resisted with 55 runs too his name.

Ushaw were then 79-1 when the rain came, with Josh Clifford on 50 not out.

Littletown claimed promotion in second place, in their drawn home game with Ryhope.

However, only, as Evenwood were beaten at home by Dawdon.

They decided to bat first making 167-7 declared, with opening bowler Jonny Errington claiming 4-40, as Greg Arundel top scored with 31.

Ryhope then batted and totalled 145-6, to earn the draw, with Paul Jenkin scoring 40 not out and Scott Lawrence 46, putting on 78 together for the fourth wicket.

Evenwood ended up third, as they were beaten at home by Dawdon, who finish fourth.

They batted first and made just 114, with Shahid Khan scoring 43, as James Dent with 4-43 and Faz Hussain an excellent 5-22, bowled very well indeed.

The visitors then made the required runs, scoring 115-2, thanks to Steven Gale who made 63 not out.

At the bottom, Silksworth managed to avoid the wooden spoon as they drew their game at home to Hunwick, while Murton lost a close game at Peterlee.

Hunwick had made 126- 4, in their allocated overs, with Dan Keegan scoring on 46, while Christophe­r Pratt cracked 60, as Michael Waterson claimed 3-23. Silksworth were 76-5, when the rain came, and the match had to be abandoned.

Peterlee set a stiff target for visiting Murton, scoring 207 all out.

The visitors had a real go at making the runs, but were just short on 198 all out.

The match between Langley Park and Boldon CA, was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
