TIME WAITING FOR NO ONE

-

Yourtimeisnow can take the next step up the ladder andbagherhat-trickinthe process in the Shadwell Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket tomorrow.

Roger Varian’s charge took a couple of runs to really get rolling, but following her first success at Newbury in August, she certainly did not look back when making a successful move into Group Three company at Salisbury.

She made all over six furlongs that day and kept finding plenty for pressure, holding Lady Aria by a half-length to give the impression a move up in trip would be well within her compass.

Yourtimeisnow tackles seven furlongs here and her pedigree also offers plenty of hope over a slightly longer distance.

Sir Michael Stoute could be set for a fruitful afternoon as both Regal Reality and Sun Maiden appear to hold excellent chances in their chosen engagements.

Regal Reality lines up in the Shadwell Joel Stakes after letting down his supporters on heavy ground at Haydock last time.

He impressed with victory on a sound surface in a Goodwood Group Three, but failed to make a similar impact on Merseyside when beaten two and a half lengths by Here Comes When.

Regal Reality appeared all at sea in very deep conditions, but is worth another chance with the ground expected to be a good deal better at Headquarters.

Sun Maiden is on a similar retrieval mission in the Princess Royal Nayef Stakes after a comprehensive defeats on her two latest starts.

She was rated as a possible Classic contender after a 12-length win on her seasonal bow at Salisbury in the spring, but Stoute resisted temptation and pitched her into the Ribblesdale instead - a decision that was rewarded with a fine third.,

However, her campaign subsequently went a little awry with a disappointing run in the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood, although she put in an improved effort when a 10-length third behind Lah Ti Dar at York.

Obviously that last run represents a decent bit of form and there does not appear to be a filly of that calibre in opposition here, with Sun Maiden much the best at the weights.

The aforementioned Lady Aria will likely be a short price for the McCaffrey Mortgages “The Insurance Specialists” British EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes at Haydock but is very hard to oppose.

That defeat to Yourtimeisnow last time certainly makes her the one to beat.

Qawamees hit the bar at Chelmsford but can improve on that in Newcastle’s Arnold Clark Shiremoor Ford Handicap as he drops back slightly in distance to a mile.
