Top Sunderland MMA heavyweight Tony Mustard hopes to be too hot for Andy Spiers when he bids for a European title later this month.

Made4TheCage British heavyweight champion Mustard is looking to add the European belt to his collection when he faces dangerous contender Spiers in a monstrous clash at rainton Meadows Arena on November 24.

It is one of four title fights on the show, after tow further bouts were added to the card.

South Shields-based Shaj ‘Superman’ Haque and Kennedy ‘Machine 2.0’ Freeman are also in action in a unique show with part of the proceeds going to the Solan Connor Fawcett Family Cancer Trust, operated by Mark Solan, who will be competing in a special charity bout on the night.

Haque returns to Made4TheCage for the first time in two years to defend his European flyweight title against Swiss fighter Frederico Gutzwiller, in what promises to be a fast-paced clash of two highly skilled fighters.

Haque is also the holder of Made4TheCage’s bantamweight crown, making him the first dual-weight champion in the promotion’s history.

County Durham’s undefeated Freeman on the other hand is looking to capture the first title of her young professional career, as she faces Kelig Pinson for the vacant European flyweight title.

The daughter of British MMA pioneer Ian Freeman, Kennedy is a highly rated prospect in the UK, placed sixth in the domestic poundfor-pound rankings, and will face tough competition in Belgium’s Pinson, who comes into the bout with an impressive 6-2-0 amateur record.

Made4TheCage matchmaker Dale Percival said: “It’s a great feeling to have Shaj back on a Made4TheCage card, Superman Returns! He’s our first two-weight world champion and always puts on a show for the crowd. He’s in for a really tough fight against Gutzwiller.

“Kennedy will go a long way in the fight game but this certainly no walkover, Kelig Pinson is a terrific athlete and Kennedy will have to be at her very best if she wants that win.

“This event will be another great night of action and it couldn’t come at a better time. This event will shine a bright light on the work that Mark Solan and his team do at the Solan Connor Fawcett trust. Cancer is a horrible disease that touches everyone in one way or another and we’re glad to be doing our part.”

Elsewhere, there is also a rematch for the British Featherweight title as Middlesbrough’s Harry Hardwick looks to avenge a controversial loss to reigning 145lb king, County Durham’s Luke Ord, while a second charity bout sees North-East MMA legend Curt ‘The War’ Warburton facing off against Liam Webstell.

Top UK prospects Sam Robinson and Bailey Gilbert are also in action along with an extensive amateur card kicking off the night.
