Consistent Bobby set for Kempton success

-

Bobby K has only finished out of the places once in six starts to date and he can enhance those already impressive statistics in the Betway Handicap at Kempton tomorrow.

The three-year-old failed to make much of an impact on his racecourse bow back in January but has made significant strides since then, including notching victories at Southwell and Chelmsford.

Those wins have been punctuated with some decent efforts in the frame, most recently when beaten half a length into second at Nottingham last month.

That was his first try on turf and perhaps it does not play to his strengths quite as well as the all weather, but he was game enough in finishing runner up over an extended mile.

Simon Crisford ups him to 10 furlongs again here, though, and it may now be that the extra quarter of a mile will bring out the best in this Dabirsim gelding.

Originaire can make it third time lucky in the Ladbrokes Bet £5 Get £20 EBF Novice Stakes.

Third on his debut over seven furlongs, he filled the same position when upped to a mile last time out and will surely be all the wiser as he heads into this heat.

Anonymous John returned to winning form last time and should be followed in the Betway Sprint Handicap whilst in such good heart.

The six-year-old has been rated as high as 95 in the past but has been on the slide of late, triumphing off a perch of 73 at Lingfield last Friday.

That was only an ordinary event, but Anonymous John showed a determined attitude to come home a head in front and the fact Dominic Ffrench Davis is happy to turn out again under a 6lb penalty perhaps speaks volumes.
