SAMUEL STICKS TO THE TASK AS LIONS DEFEAT PREDATORS

Samuel Tasker hit a hat-trick, with other goals from Aaron Douglas and Cameron Larcombe, as Silksworth Lions defeated Jarrow Predators Whites 5-2 on the Sunday Division Two.

Aaron Rump was another hat-trick hero as Silksworth and Hall Farm Greens hit nine against Hetton Lyons. Other scorers were Connor Appleby (2), Curtis Duane, Harry Joseph, John Whiston, Liam Thompson and Zantana Fanta.

Waldridge Park Barford had goals from Benjamin Fairley (2), Joseph Brinton (2), Zachary Frost (2), Aidan Cole, Joshua Macgregor, Matthew Forster, Nathan Hedley and Rhys Atkinson as they hit 11 against Houghton Albion Blues, who had a double from Daniel Carragher.

In Division One, Ryan Hoddinott hit six goals, with Ryan Porter (2) and Josh Carr also on target, was Lambton Street Boys defeated Jarrow Phoenix.

In the second round of the League Cup, goals from Adam Liddle, John Swan, Learoyd Ashman, Kyle Thompson and Millan Baxter helped Peterlee Helford Tigers to victory over Shotton Colts Juniors, who had a consolatio­n against Ethan Peacock.

Goals from Gardiner (3), Jay and Huddleston helped Hylton Sports Clubs Juniors 4 to a 4-0 win against Silksworth and Hall Farm Blacks.

Cleveland Hall Yellows beat the Blues 3-0 thanks yo goals from Charlie Potter, Jack Cosgrove and Ryan Draper.

Luke Spoor hit four goals, with others coming from Daniel Storey, Jay Patterson (2) and Joseph Rowntree as Deerness Valley Lightning hit eight goals against Hylton United, who had a consolatio­n from Mason Lodge.

Deerness Valley Hurricane were 2-1 winners against Sunderland Uno after a double from Alexander Lythgoe.

In the Girls’ Under 15 league, Beamish Girls had goals from Aimee Steele, Erin Munn, Lauren Mallows and Maddsion Metcalf in a 4-4 draw with Bishop Girls, who had replies from Chloe Cook, Emily Salmon, and Tyler Pattison (2).

Birtley Town Girls hit four through Brooke Widdringto­n, Elise Curry, Emily Chadwick and Grace Wilson in a 4-3 win against Middlesbro­ugh Lionesses, whose goals came from Aimee Frost, Amy Green and Daisy Stokoe.

Hat-tricks from Ellie Dodds and Isla Maggs, plus strikes from Millie Martin and Milly Horner saw Boldon CA Girls win 8-0 against Sunderland West End Girls.

In the first division, goals from Gurkit Randhawa and Josh Harrison gave Foundation of Light a 2-1 win against Farringdon Detached.

Andrea Galdi hit a hattrick, with other goals from Brandon Cheal, Ethan Damsell, and Mohammed Nassir as Fulwell Youth won 6-3 against Monkton Villa, whose replies were scored by Ben Rodgers (2) and Jack Toop.

NSG Athletic Tigers were 3-2 winners against Roseberry Park thanks to strikes from Aidan Naylor, Jack Pettimore and Luke Maskell.

In Division Three, Chesterle-Street RAR drew 0-0 with Hetton Juniors Milan.

Washington Wildcats had goals from Corey Forster and Ryan Stobbart in a 3-2 loss to Shotton Colts, whose scorers were Josh Spence and Nathan Mcadam (2).

Josh Reed scored twice as Washington Juniors drew 2-2 with Consett Red Sox, who had Ben McMahon and Gary Richardson on target.

In the third round of the Under-16 League Cup, Wearside Athletico Real had Ashton Wilson and David Smith on the scoresheet in a 4-1 win against Whitburn and Wearmouth United 1, whose consolatio­n came from Cameron Maw.
