Onesie upon a time for juniors
Staff and students at a Sunderland school found a fun way to banish the winter blues – and help others in need.
The members of Broadway Junior School held their annual Onesie Day, where they wrapped up warm in their fluffy PJs.
Always a popular event at the Springwell Road school, this year was no different in getting 2019 off to a positive start.
The event was the brain child of former pupil Neve Burrell.
Staff and children donned a multitude of different onesies and once again were happy to pay the fine of not wearing a uniform with a tin of soup, which was donated to a nearby food bank.
Everyone was thrilled they managed to collect more than 260 tins of soup.
