SOUTHWICK SEAL ALL ENGLAND SEMIS SPOT

Southwick will face Buckingham­shire side Aylesbury Flooring FC in the last four of the FA All England Sunday Cup after a 3-2 quarter-final win at North Tyneside-based Burradon & New Fordley.

Michael Chilton and Sean McRoberts scored for the Cramlingto­n & District Sunday League outfit.

But Jack Devlin had already opened the scoring, and after James Fairley equalised, his 88th-minute free-kick was eventually turned in by Anthony Stokell.

The semi-final will be played at Gainsborou­gh Trinity’s Northolme ground on Sunday, March 31 (2pm).

In the Premier Division, Hylton Castle TC Plastics recorded the highest-scoring result of the weekend, beating Redhouse Last Orders 12-1.

Adam Drysdale notched six and Callum Hope followed that up with four of his own. Bulmer hit a scant consolatio­n for Redhouse and the Plasticmen had Petch and Burrell add to the scoreline.

In a dress rehearsal for the forthcomin­g League Cup semi-final, The Lansdowne and Silksworth CW played out a 1-1 draw, Ryan March opening the scoring for Silksworth and Kevin Humble replying.

Grange Park won 4-1 to relegate The Stella from the First Division, Shaun Fisk hitting a treble and Groom adding a fourth. Teasdale gave Stella slight hope.

The Stackyard suffered their second league defeat of the season after a youthful Herrington CW side narrowly beat them 1-0, Chris Cook notching the only goal.

Wearmouth CW Juniors got back to winning ways and drew level on points with Thorney Close Inn with a 4-1 away win.

Andy Baxter, Wes Allen and a brace from Craig Williams did the damage.

Thorney’s Dan Makin hit back with a fantastic header.

The Board Inn’s latest win - 5-4 at Park View - takes them into a promotion spot as they stand second in the Second Division.

Wilde, Burlinson, Coverdale, Mould and Anth Brooke found the net to claim maximum points, View responding almost goal-for-goal via Dargue, Conlin, Fletcher and Southern.

The Queen Vic took another step closer to the league title with a 7-2 win over Myers, Paul Muir (3), Alcock, Holyoak, Appleby, Stavers on target, with Hale and Pace in reply.

Robbie Middlebroo­k bagged a hat-trick as Ryhope FC won their derby against Ryhope CW 3-1, Matty Johnstone with the consolatio­n.

A Jack Callaghan double and a goal from Jack Lloyd handed Redhouse a 3-1 win at The Victory Club.

Gaz Topping hit a goal for the Club, and Rueben Thompson was Star Man for the home team.

Washington Athletic drew 2-2 with Washington New Tavern, Docherty and Middlemas scoring late in the game for Athletic to share the points after the Tavern had Chris Robinson score twice.

And the Kings Arms won 6-1 against The Grange thanks to goals from Barras (2), Hopper, Whelan, Cooper and Langton, Hendry with the reply as the Kingsmen kept promotion hopes alive.
