Rolls Royce fight hard to claim a point

-

Rolls Royce Over-40s had to bravely fight back twice to earn a respectable draw against Redcar Newmarket.

Micky Agnew got the deftest of flicks from an indirect free-kick to make it 1-1 after Redcar had took the lead with a header. Redcar went 2-1 up when the Rolls’ defence switched off and a Redcar forward pounced to fire a low shot into the corner. Ian Usher then scored a superb free-kick from the edge of the area to make it 2-2. However, Rolls did have more chances to score, but were made to rue their missed chances as the game ended in a draw. Richy Mulvaney got man of the match for Rolls Royce.

In a cup game, Division Three side Seaton Buildings put on a brave show against Seaham Habour, who are a league above, but lost out 3-1, with Barry Cougle scoring a consolation for the away team.

Seaham are firing on all cylinders this season – four leagues wins from four – in the Second Division, but were made to work hard for the victory against a stubborn Seaton side.

The Home Office report said that of those hate crime incidents, 79 per cent related to race. It stated that the increase may be due to improvements in recording the data.
