Ryan Smith also had a chance, but his effort was blocked. The winning goal came from another corner, and a free header at the back post saw the ball loop over James Davidson in the Villa goal.

Some poor defending and clinical finishing was the difference on the day. Bede Lodge striker David Latham scored four goals but could have had double this amount, with many chances not going for him especially in the first half.
The other two goals for Bede were scored by Lee Smith and Tom Robson.
Houghton didn't give up and scored three goals but Bede had the edge.
