Tarn has been a brilliant addition for us, says West End boss
Sunderland West End jointmanager Darren Liddle has praised the impact that new signing Chris Tarn has made on his side.
The former Darlington RA striker got his first goal for West End in their 1-1 draw at Jarrow in the Mitre Sports Brooks Mileson League Cup in midweek.
He will be in the West End squad for Saturday’s visit to Washington – and Liddle has backed the striker to continue impressing over coming weeks.
He told The Echo: “Chris has been massive for us. He gives us that experience, he holds up play and brings other players into play.
“Since we lost Mark Robinson to Whitley Bay, we needed someone to come in and do what he did for the team and as an individual.
“Chris will be key for us and he has always scored goals, no matter what club he has been at.
“He has been a quick-fix after losing Robbo and he has slotted into the side with no fuss at all.”
