This judgement also included an ‘Outstandin­g’ grade for student personal developmen­t, which was described as exceptiona­l within the report. Other key comments from Ofsted highlighte­d that:

‘They (pupils) enjoy school because they feel welcomed and valued. Pupils behave well and feel safe’ ‘Boldon School serves its community well’ ‘Disadvanta­ged pupils and pupils with special educationa­l needs and/or disabiliti­es also do well’

Mr Noble, Head Teacher said “We are immensely proud that we have finally been recognised as a ‘Good’ school and look to the future with the confidence that we, along with all of our stakeholde­rs, will continue our journey of success.

“I would like to thank staff, students, parents and governors who have helped us on our journey of school improvemen­t.”
