Two Sunderland primary schools could be rebuilt on new sites as part of a near £200million city-wide investment bonanza.

Tonya Olds: I'm struggling to see why it's a bad thing. They're planning to spend £13m on the new Sunningde site which kind of su ggests the change will be for the better for those attending. I'd guess this would be purpose built for the children, many of whom have additional physical needs. As for TCP, its had structural issues for years so the move might well be great for them too. End of an era, yes! But they only buildings. It's the people that make a school what it is.

Emma Taylorson: Sad to hear this news... my child still attends this school as did my older 2 and myself, the way I see it the council obviously sees all the unused land surrounding the school and enough room to build quite alot of houses on it... would be a massive shame to see this school pulled down

Aud Wright: No way leave thorney close primary alone its ok where it is i attended thorney close as did my children nieces nephews now my granchildren leave where it is

Val Cousins: I don't see why we need a footbridge or 500 car park space they need to do something with shops and try and get people to come into Sunderland shopping as the centre needs improving Janine Jennie Crawford: So the Vaux site becomes a car park .... ?

Paula Lay: Why do they have to fix things when they not broke!!

Joan Davison: lts going to be change wiv kids at sunningdale leave it were it is Kim Clark: If its not broke, don't fix it imo

Paige Hodgson: Thorney school better than hastings hill by far

Karly Grant: Danielle Errington omg it might be moving Danielle Errington: Karly Grant wow! I cant believe it

Karly Grant: Danielle Errington only to where Sunningdale school is! Probably build a brand new school
