'Pawfect' Christmas party for dogs

-

Pampered pooches in Sunderland can enjoy a special Christmas celebration of their own.

The Sandpiper pub in Farringdon Road will be holding a paw-fect day out for dogs and their owners on November 23.

The Christmas party will be a chance for everyone to make new friends and have their picture taken, each four-legged guest will be able to meet Santa Paws and receive an early doggy Christmas gift.

This is one of several events being held in the run up to Christmas at the pub to raise funds for The Prince’s Trust.

Manager, Adam Halfpenny, said: “It’s a very worthwhile cause and we hope as many dog owners and their canine companions as possible will come along to the party.

“They would be barking mad to miss it.”

The Sandpiper also hopes to raise money for the charity on Saturday, December 14, where human customers will have the chance to Breakfast with Elsa between 10am and noon, with games and dancing with the popular Frozen character.

Tickets for Breakfast with Elsa cost £6 per child and can be purchased from The Sandpiper. £1 from all tickets sold will go to The Prince’s Trust.

The Dog Christmas Party will take place between noon and 2pm and tickets, which cost £5 per dog, include a digital photo, a pup cake and a raffle ticket strip for the charity raffle on the day, with profits from all tickets going towards the Prince’s Trust.
