Miles of traffic built up on the A690 Durham Road heading for Sunderland on Monday morning as the A19 assessment work began ahead of future roadworks.

Imagine this for nine months while the work is taking place and also having to navigate the traffic delays at Testos roundabout.. alternative routes through New Herrington also have delays… not good.

People will find different routes so it’s pointless doing it all week.

Total stupidity, it’s a busy roundabout like they cannot just see it will cause disruption after one day is enough but no let’s do it all week.
