STORY: Patient asked for a Scottish doctor; racism in the NHS must stop.

Craig Stott: Couldn't care who treats me if I need to go to the nhs the man or woman or team helping me will each in turn earn my gratitude and respect.

Paul Dave Sadler: Until it's your loved one /child/ you! Then it doesn't matter. We all breathe, we all bleed and if there in a position to help you in need are you going to question it. Now ask yourself why does it matter life or death, were all the same. I'm grateful too all my colleagues and Doctors whom have helped me and saved my partners life, sons and daughters and mine. Hank Witherspoo­n: This is an outrage.

STORY: The spotlight will fall on Durham this weekend as its hosts Lumiere, one of the country’s biggest events.

Debra Chandler: Giving it a miss this time as too crowded and the Cathedral was a huge disappoint­ment.

Vicky Tinnion: Been twice, that jam packed there was almost a crush. Hopefully it's better planned these days but I defo won't be visiting.

Kev Smith: Wonder if Bishops car park is sorted out. The other week when I was in there some of it was all closed off due to road works in the car park. Ann Talbot: The dome looks lovely.

Keith Gilmaney: Be prepared to shuffle along for 2 hours till you get to Cathedral, then queue for another hour to get in Cathedral..If you are taking kids, be prepared.

Mark Thompson: I remember the first couple. The one with the cathedral lit up with the vikings and holy island in flames was fantastic. Also the one with planets and was great. The last one ..... Meh! Lights in the cathedral etc, didn’t even go in. The last one was well below par. But hey ho, fingers crossed ..... let's hope this one is another blinder. Sarah-Marie Carrick: It looks awesome.
