Build a new leisure centre or leave it as green space - your views on the future of former Crowtree site

Kelly Hooper:

A new Leisure centre would be fantastic. The ice rink at Whitley Bay is rubbish. There are loads of shops empty so fill them instead of building new ones. Sunderland definitely needs a decent Ice Rink and an Arena.

Kev Wright:

i say that all the time we miss out on loads not having an arena it would bring loads of money in could build it on vaux and still build leisure centre on crowtree

Susan Hodgson:

Outdoor park, picnic seating, flowers outdoor activities for our children and shop workers can go to have their lunch

Michelle Louise Green:

New leisure centre would be nice, so our children can have childhood memories like what we did, with the other one x

Sheila Garbin Lacerna:

Park with trees and flowers. Keep it green for A change. Use/ open all closed shop if council want shops. Reduce the parking fee then we will have happy Sunderlanders

Joanne Davison:

Sort out the shops that are already built. Only way anything will get used is if there is free parking available.

Janine Armstrong:

New leisure centre we need things like this in the the main town. As some people can't access anything outside of the city centre. I know I would take my kids if there was a new leisure xx

Moira Haig-Samater:

Leave it green with lots of picnic benches and plant some trees . Staff working in the town centre and shoppers can enjoy a snack or lunch out in the fresh air.

Louise Hackett:

People are asking for a leisure centre on Facebook...yous need to start a petition like someone said above the council don’t listen they do what they want if you get more voices together they will have to listen. Let’s be honest though half the shops get shut down anyway so why build more it makes no sense.

Joan Newton:

Plenty of empty shops in sunderland need things for people to do to stay fit ice rink etc x

Julie-anne Clark:

Build a new decent leisure centre. The ones we have are not very good at all. A family friendly one like the crowtree was!!!

Mary Downing Scott:

A leisure centre would be good, somewhere for families, don’t need any more shops!!

Paul George:

As the council are building a new civic centre nearby, perhaps this would be better used as a lovely park for the employee's to relax in on their break so for me it would be secret garden
