WHSmith and White Stuff at Dalton Park

-

Two nationwide retailers have opened branches at a leading retail park which is enjoying “an incredible six months”.

Newspapers, books and stationery giant WHSmith and clothing and accessories chain White Stuff are the latest High Street names to arrive at Murton’s Dalton Park.

WHSmith was the first to open after taking over a “prime location at the central entrance”.

White Stuff, named as one of top three stores that customers wanted to see in an independent survey carried out by the centre’s management team, followed last month.

They will be followed later in December by fish and chip caterer Codrophenia.

Named in honour of famous Mod movie Quadrophenia, the owners plan to share their love of music and scooters while serving their “unique take” on the famous British classic.

Other existing stores have also undergone improvements in the second half of the year.

Suit specialist Moss Bros almost doubled in size after relocating into a bigger unit next door to New Balance in August.

The new-look Adidas store was unveiled in September when it increased its floor space after expanding into the former Moss Bros unit next door.

The Cosmetics Company Store, part of the Estee Lauder Companies group, relaunched in November when it converted its previous pop-up storeh.

Kurt Muller, a regional independent firm which has traded in the centre since 2004, also carried out an extensive makeover to its designer clothing store.
