Police launch appeal to find missing man

-

Police are appealing for the public’s help to find a missing man who was last seen eight days ago.

Craig Reed, 39, was last seen by his family on December 16, after leaving his home on Rose Street in Dunston, Gateshead.

He is believed to have left his home address late on Monday afternoon and nobody has been able to contact him since. It is believed Craig has links to the Wearside area. Police have been carrying out enquiries to locate Craig, but they are now growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Superintendent Craig Metcalfe, of Northumbria Police, said: “We are growing increasingly worried about Craig and are ramping up our efforts to locate him.

“His family are very concerned and we are offering them support as we continue to piece together his movements over the past few days.

“We are now releasing a picture of Craig and are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to get in touch.

“If you know where he is, or have seen him around in recent days, then please call us.

“Likewise, if Craig himself reads this appeal then we would urge you to get in touch. Your family just want to know that you’re okay.”

Craig was thought to be last seen wearing the green khaki jacket pictured above with blue jeans and blue/ grey Adidas trainers.

Craig, or anyone who knows his whereabouts, should call 101 quoting HRN M009032/19 or report details on the Northumbria Police website or email central.intelligence@northumbria.pnn.police.uk.
