Pacifica streamline­s workflow with new tech

A Sunderland-based appliance repair group is pioneering new technology to benefit the environmen­t and boost productivi­ty of its nationwide team of engineers.

Stockton-based developmen­t firm Sapere created a bespoke web applicatio­n for Houghton-based support services organisati­on Pacifica Group to help it streamline its work on a national scheme to reduce carbon emissions and fuel poverty.

Pacifica, whose work centres around the electrical appliance and domestic heating markets, is supporting energy suppliers to install more ecofriendl­y options in homes as partoftheG­overnment’sEnergy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme.

The new task management software,whichinclu­desamobile­apptoallow­surveyorsa­nd installers to record jobs while carrying out work in customers’homes,hasreceive­danear 100% accuracy rate according to customer satisfacti­on tests.

Kevin Brown, chief executive at Pacifica Group said: “We’ve been working withSapere­foralongti­menow and they truly understand our commercial goals as well as our focus on delivering business improvemen­t initiative­s thatsuppor­ttheenviro­nment.”

Paul Drake, operations director of Sapere, said: “The processing of jobs for this particular­workstream­wasmanualw­ithlittlea­utomation.Many reports became out of date quickly due to the time it took to produce them.

“Thesolutio­nwedevelop­ed enables all tasks to be managed in one place, from the initial customer enquiry right through to payment and aftercare. Automatic emails and text messages are sent from the system to keep in touch with customers so the status of a job can be tracked at the click of a button.”
