'Everyone loves a Greggs' – Hays Travel owners hit back at snobbery and slur on bakery chain in broadcast interview

Kevin Littlemore: The way naga spoke down to them was very rude, instead of praising them for their excellent work.

Peter Thorpe: Kevin Littlemore soooooo agree with you. Naga was very condescending about how they ran there business, just because it does not follow the "normal" route of zero hour contracts, masses of unsecured debt, foreign call centres etc etc etc. Perhaps the country would be better off if we stopped hero worshipping those companies and supported the decent companies like Hayes

William Steel: Gregg's have a wonderful business. Many times they have been there when I needed them. Mind you, in the North-East, we have beef mince pies, short pastry. I don't know why the rest of the country isn't provided with this delicacy but they are missing out, big time!! The snobbery is akin to bullying, too. Just shows how good a, well run, family business can be! Well done Hay's

Elaine Mansell: Well done to you both looking after people. Great example. xxxxxxx

Jackie Hamilton: So well done" Mr and Mrs Hays "you did a fabulous job, your staff are brilliant and we wouldn't go anywhere else

Susan Barbara Stück: My Daughter worked as a Saturday Girl ..while doing her degree ...and she worked all holiday periods ...they were truly amazing employees ...they sent her flowers when she was poorly and flowers for a family bereavement .they are fair Just ...and honest ...but most of all kind ...a rare quality in a Large Employer today ...well done Gregg's ...Xx

Dorothy Stockdale Webb: Well done to Hays travel they did a good job in saving a lot of people’s jobs give them the credit they deserve , lot of green eyed devils out there

Paul Blackbird: Onwards and upwards John and Irene local people providing employment to local people ...may you grow and grow your business and enjoy the fruits of your labour

Noreen Michaels: Did not like the tone on breakfast tv, they seem a nice couple and deserve success instead of a grilling by people who read an autocue for a living

Liz Green: Well done Mr and Mrs Hays

Viv Wilson: Well done to John and Irene Hays for maintaining their calm and dignity when being interviewed by a very arrogant Naga Munchetty on BBC Breakfast this morning.…

Norman Armour: nice to see a local lad doing well
