First residents get their keys at new city development

-

The first residents have moved into their homes as a brand new housing development is starting to take shape on the outskirts of Sunderland.

Bellway North East is building a total of 109 new four and five-bedroom detached houses at Burdon

Rise, off Burdon Lane, where construction is progressing well.

The first four homes have now been completed and occupied by their new residents, and more people are expected to move in over the coming weeks, as a further 22 homes have been reserved. Head of Sales for Bellway North East, Emma Chesterton, said: “It is always lovely to welcome the first residents into a new development and Burdon Rise is no exception.

“It’s a key milestone in the life of the development, which has been very popular with local people as well as house-hunters from outside of the county.

“About 160 people turned out to see the showhomes being opened and it’s clear there’s a real need for new housing in the area.

“We have seen a good mix of buyers at Burdon Rise with families, young professionals and older couples all finding a home that suits them at the development.

“I’d encourage anyone hoping to make this their home to come along and visit us without delay, as we’re expecting the remaining homes to sell quickly.”

Two showhomes are available for visitors to view at Burdon Rise when the sales office is open: from 11am to 5.30pm Friday to Monday and from 11am to 7pm on Thursdays.

Prices start from £284,995.
