South Hylton A make it Official but B team are beaten by St Gabriels

South Hylton A beat Murton Officials 3-2 in the Danby Autos Sunderland Snooker League.

Gavin Dixon won them the first frame against Gary Stockton 57-27 before Justin Ebdy levelled, winning the second against Graham Rutland 61-31.

Norman Leslie moved Hylton back into the lead beating Bobby Carne 78-47 before Stephen Clementson won against Adam Smith 72-53.

Rutland and Leslie won it for Hylton, taking the pairs against Carne and Clementson 74-37.

Birtley beat Biddick B 4-1, Jordan Young winning a highscorin­g first frame against Peter Mills 79-70 and Brian Meuse winning the second against John Temple 73-16.

Neil Lowdon beat Philip Straughan 58-23 before Graham Hutton pulled one back for Biddick winning against Roful Hoque 59-42.

In the pairs, Young and Lowdon beat Mills and Anthony Gordon 56-46.

St Gabriels won 3-2 against South Hylton B despite Ian Stewart winning the first frame against Anthony Longstaff 67-26 and Bobby Boyce the second against Aaron Duncan 59-47.

Ian McDermott started the comeback beating Tony

Hazard 56-53 before Glen Lane levelled the match beating John Harrison 71-31.

In the pairs, Lane and Malcolm Robertson beat Stewart and Paul Buckley 71-48.

Boldon CA beat Seaham Conservati­ves B 4-1, Derek White beating Colin Dobson 74-55 and Craig Barron overcoming Harland Davidson 83-48.

Robin Midson won against John Smith 78-66 before Kevin Wright beat Tony Grimes 60-36.

Smith and White won the pairs against Midson and Grimes 81-33.

Biddick A beat Steels 3-2 thanks to Steven Tate, Rod Turnbull and David Adamson.

Tommy Ayre, Ray Charlton Senior and Vince Flynn won Steels’ points.

Seaham Conservati­ves A beat The Victory 4-1 courtesy of Michael Monaghan, Gordon Elliott and Jack Deighton.

Darren Dowell pulled one back for The Victory, dominating­thethirdfr­ameagainst Les Pinder 70-8 before Ian Hughes won the fourth beating Bobby Smith 56-32.

Monaghan and Deighton won the pairs, beating Dowell and Smith 58-53 for the 4-1 win.

Glendale beat Pennywell Comrades 3-2.
