Cheap shots!

-

The David Preece article recently about motivating footballers during the corona crisis, and his cheap shots at Brexit and the Brexit Party leader, are disgusting! Preece, an average player in his prime at best, should concentrate on football and keep his racist Brexit comments to himself.

You might like to remind him that if the BP did not have a candidate in Sunderland at the last general election Sunderland would be Tory Blue now!

Think about that, because that’s how powerful

“What and who's important in the world at this moment in time.”

true democracy is in the North East of England.

That’s how strong Sunderland people feel to leave the communist EU where voters don’t matter and elections are seen simply as “paper” exercises. The anti Brexit propaganda used by the UK mass media before, during and after the 2016 referendum, borders on the tactics used by the Nazi party during the 1930s to poison the heart of Germany. The opinions of Preece go against the mood of the people in Sunderland and you would be wise to get him to shut his trap. I come from a working class background in Sunderland, born and bred there, but worked hard to become a professional engineer.

I have lived through the Thatcher years, the deceit of the Kinnocks, Blairs and Browns of this world. The average footballer from the higher leagues in the UK have no idea what life has been like for normal people in this country; even those that work hard to better themselves. Articles disrespecting Brexit, or Brexit supporters, like those from Preece, hidden in a football review, disgust me and turn my stomach. In my view, EU lovers betray the UK because they have something to gain from EU membership – there are no other reasons for being in this German/French owned club!

There are no positives for the UK to be in this club! I respectfully submit that the Echo keep the bile that contributors like Preece out of professional journalism.
