TEEN 'PRINCESS' GEORGIA PUTS SMILE ON KIDS' FACES

-

Ateenager is dressing up as Disney princesses during lockdown to help put a smile on the faces of children and spread some positivity and joy durring the coronavirus crisis.

Kind-hearted Georgia Grace Price has already filmed more than 700 personalised messages to children all around the world from her bedroom in Sunderland.

Not only is the dedicated 18-year-old putting a smile back on the faces of hundreds of people from America to Australia, she’s also raising vital funds for the NHS.

In one week, her Facebook page Princess for the NHS already has more than 1,000 followers and she’s raised more than £1,400 for the Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Charity, which is helping fight the coronavirus pandemic.

“I just thought to remind people that it’s really important to be kind and to support each other more now than ever,” said Georgia.

“Princesses are very important to me. Over the past few years I struggled with my mental health and was in a very dark place.

“The princess for me, even though I am 18, they really helped me through this time.

“It helped bring a bit of positivity and joy into my life and I want to do that for others now.”

Dressed up as one of four Disney princesses and with an animated voice to match, the 18-year-old has been inundated with requests.

Georgia, who is training to be a beauty therapist at Learning Curve Beauty Academy in Hartlepool, chose to raise funds as a thank you for the “amazing” treatment she received at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary when she was growing up.

“I was treated for Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis when I was about 10-years-old,” said Georgia. “I just wanted to give something back for what they did to help me.”

Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis causes pain and inflammation of a child’s joints and can also affect the immune system.

“I just want to try my best for everyone and give back to the RVI and cheer up everyone!” added Georgia. “I’ve done them for people of all ages, I’ve just been asked to do one for an 83rd birthday for a grandad who’ll be alone and loves Snow White.”
