Key worker avoids jail for spitting in a policeman’s mouth and shouting ‘corona’.

-

Paul Burke: Justice doesn’t really work unless it applies equally to all people regardless of if he’s a key worker or not. If I went out now and booted a police officer then spat at them (tantamount to criminal transmission) I’d quite rightly be jailed.

Desmond Middlemas: This is why crime is rife the offenders mostly who are prolific know full well they are going to get suspended sentences even if they reoffend to be honest i for one am sick of this suspended sentence lark and sentencing became more severe as for the spitting in someone's face if any one of them did it to me it would be the last time they did full stop

John Reay: Another feckless judge, should both have been locked up. I would hope that the "keyworkers' employer will give him the boot if they are aware of this.

Janet Smith: We seem to be getting soft on offenders man of God gets lighter sentence aftrr raping his child. now despicable acts get off with probation. Jail even for a short time sends the message but apparently during this time we take pity and slap them on the wrist

Lynn Elliott: Not good enough. Key worker or not should have gone to prison as the previous ones who spat at police officers have been sent to prison.

Robert Middleton: District judge should be jailed, how many more of our emergency services staff have to be assaulted before these soft judges give them a proper jail term.

Melvin West: Politicians fault. It's an emergency. Should be dragged in front of a firing squad !.

Marshall Normington: You wouldn't get a suspended sentence for that!

Lyn Sisterson: Shouldn't be suspended sentences, chuck them in a cell.

Tony Poston: Avoids jail. He could be had for attempted murder !

Bobby Whitelaw: Abhorrent decision. Will make everyones life harder in the long term including the legal system
