Conspiracy theories

-

I must admit there's nothing better than a good conspiracy theory, and that's exactly what they are a theory.

Did man really walk on the moon or was it a secret kept from the American people to protect its funding, that's just one of thousands of conspiracy theories.

I read a book years ago on such theories and the writer stated at the beginning of the book, it would take thousands of people to be in on such a secret that the moon landings was a hoax, and it would be impossible for three men to keep a secret, never mind thousands.

So I try to approach everything with an open mind unlike George Howe in his latest letter in the Echo.

Hold a nation to account was the heading, he really should know better, a man in his position.

He believes this virus was orchestrated from Beijing by China in an attempt to disable the economy of the United States of America and the western democracies, and the Chinese government must be accountable for it.

Straight out the Twilight Zone that one.

George is also critical of the World Health Organisation as to why they were not monitoring the situation, and Britain being its biggest financial donor should have been warned earlier.

Again George fails to realise what he says is easily looked up on any search engine and Britain is the fifth not the first highest contributor to the WHO after America, China, Japan, and Germany.

Also Boris Johnson and his government had ample and plenty of early warnings from the World Health Organisation and other countries around the world including China.

One day we will find out where this virus did originate from and it could possibly have originated from a bat, but hopefully from a reputable source and not a Tory councillor.

And then hopefully everyone will be held to account especially Boris Johnson and his government who came to the ball game a little to late for so many people.

Ged Taylor, Barnes.

“Hopefully everyone will be held to account especially PM and his government.”
