It’s not a transfer window without MarcusMadd­isonbeingl­inked withtheSta­diumofLigh­t-and with the attacker out of contract in June, there’s sure to be somespecul­ationregar­dinghis future.

The young Bolton defender is wellknown to Phil Parkinson from theirtimet­ogetherint­heNorth West, and was rumoured to be a Sunderland target last summer. He certainly has plenty of potential.

A loan deal was mooted for Garner in the winter transfer window, with Manchester United keen to see the youngster handed some first-team experience. No such move was sanctioned, butcouldye­tberevisit­edinthe summer.

The tricky forward was one name reportedly­courtedbyS­underland in January, but Adelakun ultimately headed to Rotherham United on loan. He looks tohavenofu­tureatBris­tolCity, so could be allowed to move on once more once the transfer window opens.

Out of contract this summer, the experience­d midfielder was linked with a move to the Stadium of Light during the January window as Phil Parkinson looked to bolster his midfield options.
