Hot week ahead as temperature soars to 21°C
It looks set to be a week of sunshine and warm weather for Sunderland as temperatures reach highs of 21°C.
Following on from last week’s cloudier and colder conditions, those enjoying outdoor exercise during lockdown will be pleased to hear that the good weather is returning to Wearside.
Tomorrow looks set to be the best day of the week with highs of 21°C.
The morning will be a mix of sunshine and clouds, with temperatures climbing to 18°C with plenty of sunshine by 1pm.
The evening looks set to remain warm and sunny with highs of 19°C at 7pm.
Overnight it will be clear and mild with temperatures around 16°C.
Another warm day on Thursday, with highs of 19°C at around 1pm.
However most of the day looks set to remain cloudy, with even the risk of some light showers by late afternoon.
The evening and overnight also looks set to remain cloudy and cooler than earlier in the week with temperatures dipping to 12°C.
After a cloudy start, the sun will shine once again on Friday, with sunny intervals starting in the late morning.
Temperatures will peak at around 1pm with highs of 16°C, making it another mild day.
In the early evening there is a chance of a light shower but it will be a clear night with temperatures dipping to 13°C.
Saturday and Sunday’s weather looks similar with sunny intervals changing to cloudy by late morning and highs of 16°C.
Early evening will see the return of sunny spells, before it becomes a clear night with temperatures of 12°C.
