Nita Tennant: Nearly every cut going from Leechmere Road to Westheath Av is disgusting, from chandeliers to dirty nappies n everything in between!
John Dutton: What do you expect start emptying the bins more often.
Josh Summerson: Not condoning any form of fly tipping here, but what I will say is Sunderland needs another waste recycle site (tip) the wait at the moment is a week long to get rid of any rubbish from your home and when the booking a slot system wasn’t in place you still had to sometimes wait a good 45 mins in
Gary 'Nev' Mackinnon: Even when caught, the culprits don't even have to clean up after themselves. Weak sentencing and pitiful fines dished out by the courts are no deterrent.
Sigmundr Vilhjálmrsson: Confiscate and crush vehicles used, put secret/ surveillance cameras in hot spots, many of which are one way lanes or have easily monitorable entrance and exits, increase the fines and put the names, addresses and photos of those people doing this up everywhere including online to deter them.
Mary Haig: Take the payments away for having rubbish removed solve the prob!
Carol Wilson: People haven’t got the money to pay for getting rid of big items, they wouldn’t be going to food banks if they had.
Elizabeth Morrow: It’s a problem because bins only get collected every two weeks, people are at home more so inevitably creating more rubbish, the council need to go back to weekly collections, at least temporarily.
Julie Wilson: We had that problem and had to bring the rubble back but understandable if the tip can't get it collected. Our waste has had to be booked in various trips, we've done one, got another today and will have to wait and book another slot when they are available, we could've quite easily decided to dump ours but are just being patient and doing what we can when we can.
