No new coronaviru­s deaths recorded

No new coronaviru­s-related deaths have been confirmed at Sunderland’s hospital trust.

NHS England recorded no new coronaviru­s-related deaths yesterday, at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust.

The total number of deaths at the trust remains at 322.

In total, 1,377 people who had tested positive for coronaviru­s have died across the North East’s hospital trusts – a rise of three since Saturday.

Public Health England’s latest data released on Saturday, revealed that three more cases of coronaviru­s have been confirmed in Sunderland.

There are now 1,385 confirmed cases in the city.

A further 72 people, who tested positive for coronaviru­s have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 27,431.

Patients were aged between 45 and 96 and all had known underlying health conditions.

According to the figures, the breakdown of the number of deaths of people who tested positive for coronaviru­s at North East hospitals includes:
