We are little more than a week away from non-essential shops reopening to the public in England after closing in March due to the coronavirus lockdown. Will you be heading out to your local shops on June 15?

Donna Pearson: I cannot think of anything worse. I’ve worked my way through this pandemic, I have no desire to head out for a shopping day, I’ve still supported the shops I would go to online, and the local small independent ones that are open. The number of people still infected in the north east is too high, it’s too soon for this region

Barry Moon: Haven’t been out for eight weeks except for a walk and it’s too early to go shopping as I’m at risk of catching virus or infection. Plus hospital wants to do a heart scan but bit wary at moment due to people going there for something and catching Covid 19 so it’s not something I’m willing to risk at the moment.

Doreen Hammond: Yes the shops and businesses have to make a start in selling Their goods but I will be staying away from crowds until I can see the results of the lockdown. I’ve kept to it for 12 weeks so I’m playing safe not throwing away safety just yet.

Muriel Carr: not doing anything different at the moment - I think we should have given lockdown a couple of more weeks but omg I do need a haircut! lol Kerensa Appleton: Guaranteed you'll be queuing for HOURS. Say 3-4 hours, plus alot of places like "malls", you'll have to Q to get in, then, Q again get into shops once inside. As limiting number of people. So if you do go out from 15th June, take a tent, food and water cause you going to need it for all the hours of Qing you going to be doing

Tony Isles: Yep certainly will be , save their jobs save their businesses, follow guidance use common sense and let's get back to some normality

Janet Smith: Shops opening not a problem as lots if work by staff will have put social distancing measures , cleaning protocols and all other measures deemed necessary by Managers, owners and government from scientific study. what I don't trust are the general public who disregard all sensible strategy as they are indestructible so initially I will stay away untill these types have rushed in because they have a hang nail or had to wear one garment more than once.
