No new coronavirus deaths recorded
Sunderland’s hospital trust recorded no coronavirusrelated deaths yesterday.
Thursday’s figures show there have been 324 virusrelated deaths in the South Tyneside and Sunderland trust.
Across the North East, there were four additional deaths announced yesterday.
Nationally, a further 62 people who tested positive for COVID-19 have died, including a 13-dayold baby, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 28,175.
Patients were aged between 13 days and 96. Three patients, including the baby, had no known underlying health conditions.
The latest data shows there have been 1,386 confirmed cases in Sunderland.
Across the region, there have been 10,481 cases, a rise of 15 on Tuesday.
In total, 1,409 people who had tested positive for coronavirus have died across the North East’s hospital trusts, an increase of four.
