We say a big thank you to all our amazing teachers

Today we salute the hard work of our fantastic teaching staff.

Throughout the coronavirus lockdown, schools have been providing fantastic support to youngsters and their families – whether remotely or in class for those children of key workers.

As schools prepare to break up for the summer holiday, we asked you to send in your messages to those teachers and support staff who have done such an amazing job in unprecedented circumstances.

And we’ve had some heartwarming comments from children, in praise of their favourite teachers, teaching assistants, headteachers and cooks.

Here’s what they had to say.

I would like to thank Miss Hastie and Mrs Johnson for all the help and support they have given me at Broadway. Will miss you all. Thank you. From Blaine, Class 9.

I would like to say thank you very much to my amazing headteacher, Mrs Todd, and to all my awesome teachers David Cojocaru, Richard Avenue Primary School.

I want to say a very big thank you to Mrs Hastie for all the support she has given me and for helping to build my confidence during my time at Broadway. Also a big thanks to all the teachers. Millie, Class 8.

Thank you to Mrs Hastie and Mr Gowland for your help and support. I had a fantastic Year 6 and will really miss everyone. I have loved going to Broadway Juniors, best school ever. Charlotte, Class 8.

I would like to thank Mrs Straughan from Gillas Lane Primary Academy for making my last year at the school very enjoyable. Also a big thanks to Mrs Monoghan for all her support. X Sophie.

To Mr Lindstead, Mrs Gardiner, Mrs Hastie, thank you all for being such great teachers over the years, I have enjoyed being in all of your classes. Take care all, from Harry, Broadway Junior School.

My name is Caden Conlin, I attend Bexhill Academy and I would like to say a big thank you to my teachers, Miss Carr and Mrs Walton. Love you all and thank you to all teachers.

I would love to thank Mr Rogers, who has taught me in both Year 5 and 6. He’s an amazing teacher and he always tries to make lessons fun! Gabriella, St John Boste RC Primary, Washington.

To the teachers of Castletown Primary School, I just want to say a big thank you. You will always be in my heart, but thank you so much, I will miss you so much. From Rachel.

I would like to say a special thank you to all three of my Year 6 teachers at Castletown Primary – Mr Davison, Mr Baulf and Miss Ni Chomhrai . Love, Mia.

Thank you to Miss Phillips, who has been there for me since nursery. You’re a star, so thank you so much all my love, Ava Mai Clark xxxx, Year 4, Willowfields Primary School.

To all my teachers at Bexhill Primary School, thank you for bringing me new friends, teaching me how to be the best I can be. You are all so great and I will miss each and every one of you. Alysha-leigh.
