Three arrested after city road rage attack

-

Three men have been arrested after another man suffered a broken nose when his car was rammed and he was assaulted in a road rage attack in Sunderland.

At about 11pm on Friday, July 3, police were called to the Allendale Road area of Farringdon after reports a man had been hurt.

It was reported that the victim was parked in a blue Vauxhall Zafira outside the shops opposite the Archer

Road junction when a blue BMW was driven deliberately into his car.

The victim – in his 20s – reportedly then drove away from the scene.

But he was pursued by the occupants of the BMW.

A few hundred yards down the road, at the junction with Aberdale Road, the vehicles collided again.

It was claimed that three men then got out of the BMW and assaulted the victim before they then stole his car keys.

It is believed that all those involved are known to each other.

They have all since been released under investigation while inquiries into the incident continue.
