Complaint after woman injured

They continued to hurl abuse at her while she was taken into an ambulance, concernedb­igsisterCh­arlottePer­ry told the Echo.

An SIA spokesman said: “We are sorry to hear of the incident where Georgia Perry suffered an injury on a night out.

“Shouldalic­ence-holderdo anything that means they fail to comply with our licensing conditions we will investigat­e the matter.

“Once their identity has been confirmed by a reliable source, such as the police, venue or Local Authority, we will review evidence against our licensing criteria and consider whether a security operative should retain their licence or if it should be suspended or revoked.”

Charlotte, who received a call in the early hours of Sunday, August 16, to say Georgia was in hospital, said: “She’s just absolutely terrified. She's a very small and petite – when she was pushed to the ground shewasinag­onystraigh­taway.

"It’s just awful that these people would do something like this. Georgia is very outgoing and would chat to anyone butshe’salsoquite­anxiousand wary of her surroundin­gs.”

Police are investigat­ing the incident and reviewing CCTV footage from the night.

A spokesman for Northumbri­a Police said: “It was reported that between 1am and 4am on Sunday (August 16) a verbal altercatio­n occurred and a 22-year-old woman was pushed to the ground, resulting in a broken collarbone.”
