Round up of the latest city court cases
The following cases from the Sunderland area have all been dealt with at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court recently.
Jordan Dixon ,26, of T horn hope Close, Washington, received a six-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £50 compensation after admitting resisting a police officer in the course of their duty on South Tyneside on June 1.
Jack Thomas Edwards, 30, of Gillingham Road, Grindon, Sunderland, was banned from driving for a year, fined £236 and ordered to pay an £35 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting drink driving.
David Matthew Gerrard, 32, of Frederick Street, Sunderland, was fined £120 and was ordered to pay £9 compensation, a £32 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting stealing a £9 bottle of Russian Standard vodka from Tesco.
Jacob Spencer Hughes, 18, of South View, South Hylton, Sunderland, was fined £40 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting causing criminal damage.
Trevor Carter Herbert, 47, of Marion Street, Hendon, Sunderland, was fined £80, ordered to pay a £90 victim surcharge, £85 prosecution costs and to complete a positive pathways programme as part of a community order after pleading guilty to breaching a previous community order by failing to attend scheduled appointments between February 24-March 10 and also admitting causing fear of violence between March 5-10.
Christie Peel ,26, of Lily Street, Sunderland, 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay a £21 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting possessing cannabis.
