Round-up of cases heard at magistrates’ court
The following cases from the Sunderland area have all been dealt with at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court recently.
Jonathan Dev lin ,25, of Bathgate Avenue, Town End Farm, Sunderland, was banned from driving for 22 months, fined £300 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting drink driving on July 20.
Danielle Louise Widdowson, 31, of Moore Crescent North, Houghton, was banned from driving for 24 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving on July 19.
Aidan Guy, 24, of Whitelaithe Road, Leeds, was ordered to complete 200 unpaid work as part of a community order, ordered to pay £800 compensation, a £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting committing assault occasioning actual bodily harm in Washington on May 26 last year.
Michael Bond, 35, of Coniston Avenue, Easington Lane, was fined £140 and ordered to pay £50 compensation, a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting two counts of stealing scrap metal from Kirkby Stephen, in Cumbria, on November 4 last year and January 9.
Ryan Conn, 37, of Dean Avenue, Houghton, was fined £120 and ordered to pay £20 compensation, a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting stealing scrap metal from Kirkby Stephen, in Cumbria, on November 4 last year.
Sara Louise Copeland, 34, of Front Road, Sunderland, was fined £80 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting stealing alcohol from Sainsbury, in The Galleries, Washington, on March 30.
