Stamper climbs table and Prins stays top after double victories

Claire Stamper made it five wins from six to move into the top half of the Knack Darts Premier League table.

Stamper celebrated two exc e l l e nt w i n s th i s we e k , firstly seeing-off Ste phen Squire 5-1, hitting a 180 along the way. She then registered two 18-darters in an excellent 5-2 win over Anth Skelton, with Skelton firing in a 180 in a best leg of 16 darts.

D ave P r i n s re m a i n s at the top after two wins on the night. Dan Gillibrand was his first victim as Prins ran out a 5-1 winner with three 17-darters and a 180 the highlights.

It was a top of the table clash against Tony Wood in his second game and again Prins was victorious 5-1, with a best finish of 103 and three 16-darters.

John Watson moved into third place after two wins against Darren Patton and Michael Naunton with a 14-darter, a 106 checkout and a best leg of 14 darts.

Adam Atkinson gained six points from two hard fought victories that both went the distance.

Firstly, he inflicted a seco n d d e f e at o n t h e t ro t t o four-time champion Paul Williams, aided by two 15-darters and a 104 checkout.

Dan Mock was next and he was also beaten 5-3 with another 15 darter the best by Atkinson with Mock hitting a maximum in a 16-darter.

Cameron Anderson moved into second spot after two impressive 5-0 wins.

Anderson hit a terrific 143 checkout in a 15-darter as he hammered Geordie Morton. A 180 in another 15-darter helped him to beat Brian Scollen by the same scoreline .

John Kippen fired in two maximums as he secured six points on the night with wins over Barry Rutherford and Dan Gillibrand, 5-2 and 5-1 respective­ly, with a best leg of 13 darts.

Philly Dunn was a 5-3 winner over Matthew Hodgson with both players hitting a maximum. Dunn had earlier drawn with Brian Scollen with a 180 and a 103 finish his best.

Eddie Ashman hit two 180s as he shared the spoils with Tony Wood in his opener with ‘Woody’ hitting a superb 155 checkout in a best leg of 15 darts.

Ashman defied a 180 by Neil Rose as he ran out a 5-1 winner in his second game with the help of a 101 checkout.

David Morris narrowly beat an impressive Ross Guy 5-3 in his first game before a 4-4 draw against Andrew Ambler in his second.

Guy was later beaten 5-0 by Mark Wright with two 16-darters his best. Ambler was a 5-0 winner in his opener over Laura Patton.

Dan Mock hit two maximums to beat Mark Wright 5-2 with both players chalking-up 16-darters while Wright also hit a 180.

David Stokell was a comfortabl­e 5-0 winner over an out of sorts Neil Rose before he drew with Paul Williams. Both players hit a 180 and Williams claimed a 120 finish and two 15-darters.

Graeme Hills earned four points with a 5-3 success over Laura Patton and a 4-4 draw with Michael Naunton.

Anth Skelton had a best leg of 14 darts, including a 180, but had to settle for a point in a 4-4 draw with Matthew H o d g s o n wh i l e th e re wa s wins for Darren Patton and Geordie Morton over Stephen Squire and Barry Rutherford.
